Olive oil is a great and natural aid in getting rid of dust from wooden furniture and gives it a shine. Add a teaspoon to a quarter cup of lemon juice, and you will create a non-toxic, petroleum-free polish.

7) Stainless steel shine
Olive oil alone will buff stainless steel and brass surfaces. Simply wipe off any debris and allow the surfaces to dry completely. Afterward pour a little olive oil onto a clean, soft cloth. Buff in circular motions with firm pressure.

Smooth and moisturizing, olive oil will allow the razor to glide along skin for a super-close, smooth shave.

9) Sore throat soother
Swallow a tablespoon of olive oil to soothe itchy throats and lubricate the back of the mouth and tonsil area, which may also reduce snoring.

A little warm olive oil can be an effective way to relieve painful ear aches. Heat the oil for a few minutes, and let it cool. Then pour a few drops into the affected ear.

11) Sticker remover
Dab a bit olive oil onto a sticker and let it sit for a few minutes. Afterward the sticker will peel right off. No scraping needed, and no residue left behind.

13) Chewing gum remover
Apply olive oil to the gum, leave it on for five to ten minutes and then pull the gum off.
