Olive leaves and Olives are rich in the antioxidants Oleuropein and Hydroxytyrosol. Studies have shown that oleuropein, the main component of olive leaf extract, accelerates wound healing while hydroxytyrosol is considered a highly effective antioxidant and free radical scavenger with an ORAC value (oxygen radical absorbance capacity) of 45,000 μmolTE1 per gram – 30 times higher than, for instance, Vitamin C. For this reason, hydroxytyrosol can prevent wrinkle formation and skin aging.

In aged cells, oxygen-free radicals increase, and protein and fat chromosomes are damaged by oxidative stress. Normal cells show β-galactosidase activity in pH 4.0 of the intracellular lysosome, while aged cells show β-galactosidase activity in pH 6.0 (Wagner et al. 2001; Lee et al. 2006). As a result, it was confirmed that β-galactosidase activity decreases depending on the increase in hydroxytyrosol concentration (Fig. 2). Therefore, these findings suggest that hydroxytyrosol cannot completely restore cell aging, but it reduces oxidative stress onto aged cells through to subsequently inhibit the progression of aging.

At Olivella our R&D knows the importance of using excellent raw materials to create effective products powered by nature.
Most of our products contain high levels of Olea Europea Fruit Extract (Virgin Olive Oil) and Olive Leaf Extract. We use these two ingredients with respect for our planet, as our technology sustainably saves water during the production process and reduces waste.

“Can you use @olivellaline #hyaluronicacid & #oliveleaf extract on #acneprone skin?” @olivellaline contains Olive Leaf Extract. This ingredient has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. For people who struggle with acne, the anti-inflammatory properties of olive leaf extract are a blessing. Pimples are inflamed hair follicles in the skin. Although reducing inflammation is not a cure for acne, it can significantly reduce its intensity. Hyaluronic acid is a frequent component in acne treatment systems. While it doesn’t play a direct role in clearing acne, the ability of hyaluronic acid to draw moisture into the skin makes it a critical skincare ingredient for treating dryness. So…. absolutely yes! You can use @olivellaline serum if you have acne prone skin! 💛✨ . . . . . . . #hydrate #moisturizer #acne #acnetreatment #faceshield #faceserum #olivella #olivellaline #veganskincare #skincareroutine #skincareblogger #skincareessentials #skincaretips #beautytips #cosmetics #cosmetology #skincarejunkie #dermatologist
